Context
Tambomayo is a high-grade underground gold-and-silver mine owned and operated by Compañía de Minas Buenaventura (NYSE: BVN) — one of Peru's largest domestic mining companies — located in Caylloma, Arequipa at ~4,500 msnm and in commercial production since 2017. Buenaventura contracted JJC to build the tailings filtration plant: filter building, water tanks, fluid recirculation pumps, electrical and control rooms, plant connections. JJC — Grupo JJC, a 68-year-old Peruvian engineering and construction group with international reach across mining services, infrastructure concessions and civil works — ran multi-cuadrilla, multi-frente construction at altitude. PPE consumption tracking across those crews lived in hand-signed delivery notes and Excel reconciliation, with no daily visibility on what each colaborador actually had on.
Challenge
A S/. 2.2M PPE budget with no levers to capture savings. Multi-cuadrilla, multi-frente delivery meant items went missing between shifts. The high-altitude operation made every reissue costly (logistics + delay). Audit trails for SUNAFIL / DS-024 / ISO 45001 were paper-bound, and the JJC project office had no daily visibility into who was actually wearing what.
Solution
We deployed the same Logiflex Logística Digital platform pioneered at Sigdo Koppers Toromocho — adapted to JJC's multi-cuadrilla workflow and Tambomayo's altitude-shift schedule. RENIEC-pattern digital signature × 3 verification levels, 30+ control points per delivery, automatic Risk Score on consumption patterns, dashboard for non-conformity one-to-one education, integration with JJC's ERP for live KPIs. Same methodology, repeatable across contractors and ore bodies — that is the moat.
